This cylindrical form has finely painted polychrome decoration. The exterior features stylized floral roundels and scrolling foliage in blue, ochre, and sepia tones against a white ground, with a decorative yellow foliate border near the rim. The rim is further accented with blue scroll patterns, and the interior is enameled in a deep green. The underside is finished in plain white enamel. Suitable for collectors of Chinese scholar’s objects or as decorative accents in refined interiors. There is a small area of enamel loss at the top rim and some wear in the enamel that exhibits minor wear and age-related surface imperfections consistent with period use and materials.
