TWO ELEGANT MIKASA CHAMPAGNE FLUTES
Manufactured between 2004-2007, the flutes are simple and contemporary, with four vertical ridges rising from the foot to the edge --- almost like simplified rocket fins. The foot is low, shaped something like a molar, with four lobes. The style is compatible with Mid-Century Modern and Machine Age.
One flute has a chip or a flake on one lobe of the foot. It's not immediately apparent, unless you look for it. The edges are not sharp and probably could be file. The width of the chip is about 1/4 inch, and about 1/8th inch deep. (See photos with rulers--the photos are magnified for clarity.) The stability of the glass is not affected.
