These old French sheets were most commonly handwoven and often gifted to a bride for her trousseau! These are wonderful to be used as is or to create clothing, pillows or other accessories.
Adorned with the bride/groom initials, they also feature a beautiful hand drawn thread border. This part was folded back across the top of the bed, to show the monogram and edges.
A fine pure linen vintage French heirloom sheet. This has a very classic hand embroidered monogram, with perfectly hand-worked row of drawn threadwork. It was clearly worked by a very skilled hand indeed - the details of the drawn threadwork are just so perfect, and creating them is painstaking and admirable work. It has been wonderfully preserved, no holes, tears, missing stitches....
