French 1920s jewellery box. Antique keepsake box. This beautiful, decorated box is such a lovely little piece, it would be the perfect way to keep your jewels or keepsakes.
This charming little metal box, which we believe to date to the early 20th century, is decorated very much in the French classical style and stands on four cabriole legs. It is small in size so please check the dimensions carefully. Being on four legs there is a very slight wobble but nothing too bad. It would probably originally have had a silk lining.
The overall condition of the box is good with a little wear and rubbing to the metal in places as is to be expected for a piece of this age. You can see there is quite a bit of wear to the top of the lid but this just adds to the overall charm and character.
A fabulous little jewellery or trinket box that would add a touch of French chateau style to your boudoir.
