The Black Box EMD2000PE-DP-T is a single monitor KVM-over-IP transmitter that relocates a DisplayPort workstation, USB peripherals and audio onto your network so users can interact with the computer from a remote desk or across an entire campus. It encodes video at 1920 x 1080 and delivers it with pixel-perfect clarity, keeping fine detail and cursor movement true to the original display.
Transparent USB 2.0 pass through accepts standard keyboards, mice, touch devices or smart card readers, while bidirectional audio maintains clear sound for editing suites or control rooms. The result is a remote desktop experience that behaves just like a direct connection.
Two network ports provide automatic failover. If one link drops, the second takes over instantly, which safeguards broadcast playout, command centers and trading floors that cannot afford interruptions.
The Emerald PE architecture scales as your needs grow. A single transmitter can link to as many as 32 Emerald endpoints over standard corporate networks or WAN links. Operators can change sources from the receiver on-screen display, and administrators can oversee the entire environment through Boxilla management software.
Because the unit speaks the same protocol as existing Black Box DKM matrices, you can integrate it into a current installation without replacing earlier hardware. Firmware updates and new endpoint deployments are handled from a central interface, keeping maintenance simple and downtime short.
Move hot, noisy workstations out of the studio, secure sensitive servers in a locked rack, or give engineers remote troubleshooting capabilities without a site visit; the EMD2000PE-DP-T provides the flexibility and reliability that modern professional environments demand.
