David Lynch's dark splendor

This is a collection of works by David Lynch, an artist who I believe has a unique charm and coolness that makes me fall in love with his work, even if I find it a bit confusing or boring. He's truly the emperor of the indie world. Even if someone could make something with far higher quality than old movies using something like an iPhone, which everyone has now, it's unlikely that an artist as extreme as him would emerge. I suppose the conditions for their appearance are different. I feel like his worldview wouldn't appear if someone seriously aimed to make interesting works, for better or worse. His debut film, "Eraserhead," took four years to make while he was working a night job and struggling financially after having a child. Where does that immense vitality and passion come from? And the worldview that emerged from that is just incredibly powerful. The average person wouldn't even have the vision to spend four years creating something like that. Hmm. This book, which looks back at his career and features his art, is undoubtedly an important one for anyone who loves him.
