The HPE JY680A is a unified hospitality access point that brings dependable Wi-Fi 5 coverage to guest rooms, clinics, dorms, and small offices. Dual radios deliver up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, giving laptops, phones, and IoT sensors room to stream and work without noticeable lag. Because it supports as many as 256 simultaneous clients, a single unit can handle a busy floor of users during peak hours.

Installation is straightforward. The access point attaches to a standard wall box with the included bracket, or it can sit on a desk when paired with an optional stand. One PoE+ Ethernet cable powers the device and carries network traffic, so there is no need for separate power lines. Two extra Ethernet ports are ready for wired gear such as a set-top box, printer, or VoIP phone.

The AP operates in controller-based or controller-less mode, fitting neatly into existing HPE or Aruba networks as well as small standalone deployments. A built-in Bluetooth Low Energy radio enables location services and sensor connectivity, and ClientMatch technology keeps each device on the best available signal as users move around. Security options include WPA, WPA2, and WPA3, while the durable housing runs reliably from 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Power accessories are sold separately.
