Imperial Carnival Glass Pansy Ruffled Bowl, Amethyst Base, Arcs Back
Pretty ruffled bowl, purple base color with Imperial's azure iridescent treatment. The center of the bowl shows bright blues and purples, with primarily purple and gold iridescence on the rest of the bowl. The back is finished in the Arcs back pattern, with alternating stippled and smooth arches. Listed in the factory catalogs as #478, the design features a lovely grouping of pansy blooms on a stippled background. Imperial introduced their original carnival glass around 1910.
Condition: No cracks. Smooth chip on bottom base- see the last two photos; no other noticeable wear.
Marks: Unmarked.
Dimensions: 2 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide.
