This is one of the most highly detailed absolutely beautiful crazy quilts I have ever seen. Full of velvet and silk and embroidery.
It has some shredding of the silk on the edges and there are flaws in some places along the quilt. But considering its age 134 years (1890 is embroidered on the quilt) I would call this quilt great. It’s ready to be hung and displayed. Or fixed up a bit and used. I bought this with the intent to display and maybe cut up for stockings. But I couldn’t do it. It’s too beautiful and the embroidery work is insane. It’s so full of little patterns and vignettes. I would keep it but I live in Hawaii, have no use for quilts. And I just found out I’m pregnant and need to MAKE ROOM!
