Gravity was produced by Dan Hartman due to the phenomenal success of 'Living in America' from the soundtrack to Rocky VI. This single gained the #4 spot in the Pop chart, #10 in the R&B and #5 in the UK. 'Gravity', the follow up single reached #26 in the R&B chart as well as #93 in the Pop chart. 'How Do You Stop' was the third single release and returned James to the R&B Top 10. It is a minor classic in Brown's catalog and was later covered by none other than Joni Mitchell on her 1994 album Turbulent Indigo.
