Continuous Tone Collotype Lithographic Print from seventeen screens
This is a reproduction of a photo titled "Marilyn" from Jannes Art Publishing. The photo was taken by the great cinematographer Jack Cardiff on the set of The Prince and the Show Girl in 1956. This piece was printed by Black Box Collotype using a Continuous-Tone lithography with a silk-texture and mother-of-pearl coating applied to the surface of the image. Printed on Opalesque Silk ™ paper. Hand colored by Maria Krajcirovic. Artwork is 22 inches wide by 30 inches tall.
The sheet of paper this image was printed on is worth the price alone. This paper is no longer produced because of its expense.
