This is a pair of mid century hand carved African tribal heads in the Hagenauer style.
Each head is 13 inches tall by 9 inches long and is 4 inches deep.
They represent a female head on one side and the male head on the other side.
The pieces appear to be teak wood and have varying grain and coloring and the carved detail on the hair earring and collar is quite detailed.
The wood could use a nice polish and I have left them in the original state and have not polished them.
These are a wonderful representation of the emerging Hagenaur style with both an art deco and mid century flair.
