Early (not numbered) printing hardcover copy of Morals & Dogma of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry by Albert Pike and other members of the Freemasons (The Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree for the Southern Jurisdiction of the United States, 1914). Rare early copy of this infamous spiritual / fraternal / occult / mysticism / religious text, laying out the laws, rites, beliefs, traditions and other peculiarities surrounding the Freemasons. With some illustrations. Gilt designs and lettering to boards with gilded top edge of text block. A heavily worn copy with general wear to boards as well as some discoloration/staining. Corners bumped and with some fraying. Several instances of split binding, very loose on the whole. Marked-out inscriptions on reverse side of front free endpaper. Some blemishes to text block but I see no other writing than those pictured above on first few pages. See photos for condition.
