Nippon Morimura Gumi Moriage Pink Hibiscus Flowers and Gold Covered Dish Pre1911

Exquisite three-footed gourd shaped covered dish decorated in a beautiful floral pattern with pink flowers that resemble hibiscus surrounded by green leaves all accented with raised moriage in two shades of green, white, and gold; This two handled dish is larger than a typical sugar and was possibly intended to hold another condiment or relish, but would display nicely as a single statement piece, find use as a trinket or jewelry container, or be a wonderful addition to any Nippon/moriage collection; Bottom leaf mark, which reads "Nippon Hand Painted", measures approximately 1/4" x 7/8" and indicates production by maker Morimura Gumi between 1891 and 1911; Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks, slight wear to the gold on the handle of the lid; Measures approximately 6-1/2" x 4-3/4" x 4"
