Original Kerr and Hinz Model A bisque doll blonde hair 1940s 7 inches Rare Find
Kerr & Hinz started making dolls for Nancy Ann Storybook Co. from their molds in the 1940’s. Then Nancy Ann Storybook Co painted the dolls and dressed them in their San Francisco Factory. Short;ly after the great success of the Nancy Ann Dolls, Kerr & Hinz used a very similar mold and started making dolls themselves and stamping them with a K & H - USA on their backs. Their boxes had little hearts instead of polka dots. They also sold dolls furniture similar to Nancy Ann's baby line
The abbreviation NASB is used for Nancy Ann Story Book Doll Company small all bisque dolls. Nancy Ann operated from 1936 until 1971 and was founded by Nancy Ann Abbott in San Francisco, California. The first small dolls were made of all bisque, later dolls are made of hard plastic.
Nancy Ann Dolls from 1937-1947 were bisque (ceramic fired in a kiln.) They are fragile, which is reflected in their value if they remain unbroken.
