This beautiful lady is marked “Germany/14140” This would date her to the early 1900s. She has a lovely painted face showing her blue eyes, her blushing checks and red tint lips. Her hair style is in the Marie Antoinette hairstyle and curls cascading around her neck. Her hair is adorned at the crown of her head with a 2 tiered painted jeweled tiara.
She is featured on page 513 of “The Collectors Encyclopedia of Half-Dolls”.
She is in excellent condition. She is small, a little over 2 inches long. I find no chips or cracks or repairs on her. There are two sew holes at the base of her neck and a third sew hole at the top of her head. On the back is a large hole at the top for helping to attach her to an item.
The legs and arms pictured were found stored with her but I cannot confirm they belong to her, as the item was already pieced when she came to me. They are in wonderful shape, no chip, crack or repairs, just some age glazing.
