The included WL185 lavalier clips easily to clothing, and its cardioid pattern focuses on the speaker while reducing ambient noise and feedback. A bodypack transmitter with a space-saving design powers the microphone for up to eight hours on two standard AA batteries, or even longer when you add the optional SB903 rechargeable pack. The TA4F connector lets you swap the lavalier for other Shure headset or instrument mics when your needs change.

On the receiving end, the SLXD4 unit slides into a rack and offers balanced XLR and quarter-inch outputs, along with 60 dB of adjustable gain to match any mixer or recorder. Infrared sync and automatic frequency scan lock the transmitter and receiver together in seconds, while Digital Predictive Switching Diversity keeps dropouts at bay. With 44 MHz of tuning range, you can choose from 1 760 frequencies and run up to 32 channels in the same band without interference.
