Believe it or not, when Stanley Kubrick was asked by an interviewer what his favorite film was, he quickly answered “The Jerk”. The interviewer was more than surprised and even became tongue-tied. Die hard fans claim Kubrick was only joking, but if PT Anderson lists Happy Gilmore and 80’s adult films shot on VHS on his top favorite films list, then anything’s possible… I myself believe it, and I can safely say that this poster for The Jerk is in my top five, if not my absolute favorite. Just look at it, pure poetry, and it makes me laugh every time I look at it.
