First edition, third printing hardcover copy of The Man of Alaska: Peter Trimble Rowe by Thomas Jenkins (Morehouse-Gorham Company, 1945). First published in 1943. Tells the rich story of Reverend Peter Trimble Rowe, once Bishop of Alaska, through the lens and scholarship of Reverend Thomas Jenkins, who was Bishop of Nevada. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Signed and inscribed to daughter by the grand nephew of Reverend Thomas Jenkins of Nevada. Jacket now protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and small tears. Boards straight and clean but with some dents to top and bottom edges and with bumped corners. Binding is firm and spine remains fairly straight. All pages clean and unmarked though tanned.
