Rare Art Deco footed bowl by California potter Victor Steendahl (1889-1973). Shallow fluted bowl has a fine, delicate construction and four feet. This is a gorgeous example of his signature high gloss metallic silver glazing in an intricate dry riverbed crackle pattern. Known for his “Mayan Motifs” series, this is likely an earlier pre-WWII piece, as it is hand signed rather than stamped. 11” diameter, 2.25” tall. PLEASE NOTE: one flea bite chip at rim (see detail).
