A beautiful vintage find! This solid white gold stick pin has a natural round blue sapphire bezel set in the center. The sapphire has a medium blue color with a slight purple tint! The gemstone is surrounded by a shield shape detail that has beautiful engraving and scrollwork all around it. The "shield" measures just over 5/8" from top to bottom and just over 5/16" from side to side. It has a long pin on the back that is perfectly straight. It is missing the stopper on the bottom but it could easily be replaced or you could even use something simple like an eraser since it won't be seen. This pin is solid white gold and is stamped 14K on the back of the shield. A well made piece with plenty of gold, 1.2 grams. I have cleaned it in the ultrasound and cloth polished it. Well cared for and in very good preowned condition. A lovely estate find!
