Plate block of 16 vintage 1978 USPS 13-cent commemorative stamps. Mint/Never hinged. Full original gummed back.
The four stamps that make up the set together make up a quilt-like design that is repeated over the total pane of stamps. This original block of four was based on a "basket" design from an American quilt made in New York City in 1875.
