Vintage Heath Ceramics lidded tureen Coupe Sandalwood serving bowl brown beige

What a great find! Beautifully designed and perfectly executed Heath Coupe lidded tureen in sandalwood glaze. This lovely mid century piece will sure serve you well during the holiday season or any day. The form of this casserole is simple and inviting, the glaze has a great matte finish and color contrast between the interior and exterior is perfectly balanced. The tureen measures about 6 1/2 (with the lid on) x 9 ¼” in diameter. It is in good, but not perfect vintage condition. The interior appears to have an uneven glaze application, the foot has some fleabites/small chips. These too appear to be a manufacturing issue. The foot has a thin layer of glaze, but not visible stilt marks on the tureen, which means that the piece may have been slightly stuck to the kiln furniture during firing. I am just speculating here... :) These issues should not have any impact on the use of this piece.
